LOWEST PRICE vs. LOWEST COST

The lowest price does not offer the lowest cost to your customer...nor does selling the cheapest products maximize your profit potential and customer satisfaction.

Why? The lowest cost of a retreatment product must be evaluated on a cost per area applied over time, not just cost per gallon.

Repellency retreatment sales are likened to canvas sales....a quality marine canvas cost multiples more than other options yet actually yields the lowest overall cost. In all but the most temporary applications a quality marine canvas that will perform over the long term is the only option you would offer to your customer. It is the same with repellency retreatment products.

Directions for silicone water repellents, the lowest priced retreatment products, recommend application rates of 100-200 sq. ft. per gallon. To maintain water repellency, silicone water repellents must be reapplied every few months, And, worst still, silicone products have a number of negative attributes (see comparison chart) which add to the cost of maintenance and diminish the service life of the fabric.

303 High Tech Fabric Guard restores most fabrics to factory-finish levels. Typically one gallon of 303 HTFG will cover 500-800 square feet of acrylic canvas although up to 1000 square feet is possible. And depending upon conditions, one retreatment of 303 HTFG can last up to three years!

In the final analysis, 303 HTFG is the only choice for LOWEST COST, HIGHEST QUALITY and BEST VALUE for your customers. Increase revenues, profits and customer satisfaction....and your image as a vendor of quality products....with 303 HIGH TECH FABRIC GUARD.

CLARIFICATION - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

303 HTFG:
Excellent water repellency. If a stain should occur, it is more easily removed from a 303 HTFG treated fabric than from untreated fabric.

Mildew:
Mildew is a problem for any outdoor fabric. Mildew will not grow on a clean synthetic fabric. Combined with humidity, the dirt and debris which accumulates on and in the fabric create the conditions for mildew propagation. Thus keeping the outdoor fabric both clean and dry is essential to eliminate or minimize mildew growth.

Silicone repellents attract dirt & debris which, in turn, retain moisture to create the environment most favorable for mildew. Periodic cleaning as per the manufacturer's instructions and retreatment with 303 HTFG will minimize or eliminate mildew.

Odor:
The strong odor of silicone repellency treatments is related to the solvent carrier. Due to cost considerations silicone treatments use lower grade solvents characterized by their strong pungent odor during application. 303 HTFG uses a highly refined mineral spirits which has a mild odor during application. Both treatments are odorless when dry.

Compatibility:
Manufacturers of "breathable" woven outdoor fabrics use a fluoropolymer treatment for factory finish.

Silicone repellency treatments are not compatible and neutralize some of the stain resistance properties of fluoropolymer finished fabrics.

303 HTFG is completely compatible with any fluoropolymer finish and will maintain "factory new" repellency characteristics.

FLUOROPOLYMER FABRIC PROTECTORS
AQUEOUS VS. SOLVENT BASED

Fluoropolymer based fabric protectors are the only choice for true fabric protection. (Technically, silicone treatments are "water repellents" only). However, even among fluoropolymer protectors quality varies greatly.

Fluoropolymer fabric protectors are produced in two general ways classified by the carrier, Aqueous and Solvent based.

AQUEOUS: In the factory finishing process, the fabric is bathed in an aqueous fluoropolymer bath and then run through a series of high heat exposures to cure the fluoropolymer. Without this high heat curing process aqueous fluoropolymer treatments never fully cure. Thus the performance and durability is a fraction (approx. 30%) of what would be achieved at the factory.

SOLVENT: Solvent based fluoropolymer products are the only logical choice for field application for two reasons: a) better delivery to the fabric fiber, and b) full curing. Yet even among solvent based fluoropolymer treatments performance and durability can vary greatly. 303 HTFG uses an advanced proprietary fluoropolymer technology which outperforms and outlasts other fluoropolymer fabric protectors.

Application Equipment for
303 HIGH TECH FABRIC GUARD

In bulk sizes of 1, 5 and 30 gallons, 303 HIGH TECH FABRIC GUARD can be applied with a wide variety of application equipment. Applied with any of this equipment, 303 HTFG will perform at its high level. To maximize coverage and cost effectiveness, 303 Products, Inc. recommends certain equipment.

Almost any applicator for water and petroleum distillate liquids will work. This includes paint spray equipment (both compressed air and airless) and pressurized sprayers such as Milwaukee's SURE SHOT. However, for optimum coverage the best application systems are those using low pressure and low volume. (It is important to remember that 2 light coats is the recommended application technique).

For intermittent commercial use, one of the most cost effective means of applying bulk 303 HTFG is with a simple garden sprayer equipped with a flat fan tip. These are inexpensive and available at hardware stores.

The following is recommended for regular commercial use:

Bridgepoint Systems AS73 or AS73XL or AS74 sprayer

Spraying Systems(or equivalent) # 6501E/65025E/6502E nozzle tip

Spraying Systems(or equivalent) # 41-12090 trigger & wand

*Contact 303 Products if more information is needed.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
When applying and/or handling open containers of 303 HTFG always wear safety equipment: chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles and a NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator approved for removing organic vapors. READ THE ENTIRE COMMERCIAL LABEL BEFORE USING PRODUCT.
